A $1,000 vow

27th January 2010 02:00:05 AM

WHAT would you do for $1000?

For Nar Nar Goon’s Tim Manning it was the case of a simple request for two mates to dress up as bride and groom for a mock wedding ceremony as part of a radio competition.

Not a bad gig, get your mate to wear a dress and win cold hard cash.

After the Carlton Football Club saga which saw a player get married without his knowledge, Nova 100 breakfast team Hughesy and Kate asked listeners to hold a party which would include a mock wedding for $1000.

Mr Manning was celebrating his 30th birthday and agreed to hold the wedding.

His wife Tessa said friends Shannon Stocco and Lucas Thomas dressed up as the bride and groom respectively.

“It all was a bit of fun,” she said.
