FOR dancing duo Mackenzie and Cooper, the ’60s are still rocking.

The poodle skirt, bomber jacket and the swing moves are brought out each week at their rock ‘n’ roll classes.

Mackenzie’s mum, Vanessa, said it all started after Mackenzie watched an Elvis impersonator perform.

Vanessa said the seven-year-old fell in love with the dance style, but was missing a partner.

Her classmate from St Andrew’s Primary School was keen to sign on.

Cooper is now the youngest boy to join the classes at the Werribee dance studio.

The pair is eagerly waiting to show off their moves at the rock ‘n’ roll dance and rock ‘n’ roll championships this month.

They have been having private lessons for the past four months to perfect their routine.

There will be Elvis impersonators, rock and roll bands and a vintage car show and shine over the three-day event.

The dance heats will take place on 27 February at the Wyndham Leisure and Events Centre from 7pm.

Adult tickets cost $20 and children 16 and under are $8.
