WORKS have started on the $2.2 million road safety improvements at the intersection of Clyde and Centre roads in Berwick.

The works, which are expected to be completed by mid 2010, will include the installation of traffic signals and the construction of right turn lanes on both roads.

The existing traffic signals at Clyde Road and Bemersyde Drive are also set to be adjusted to link in with the new signals at the Clyde Road and Centre Road intersection.
