POLICE are appealing for public help after the attempted abduction of a 17-year-old girl at Endeavour Hills last week.

The girl was walking along James Cook Drive about 11.30pm on 5 March when a red- coloured Holden Commodore stopped and three men got out and approached her.

Two of the men tried to drag her into the car but she ran away after a struggle.

The car headed towards Hallam North Road and was not seen after that.

The driver was described as being aged 20 to 25, with black hair, dark eyes and eyebrows, possibly Italian appearance, solid build, 170cm tall and wore a white shirt with a collar.

The front passenger was also described as being about 20 to 25 years old, dark hair with a crew cut, dark eyebrows, possibly Italian looking, and wore dark jeans with a white or light pink tee-shirt.

Police said there was no description for the third passenger.

If anyone has information about the car or saw anything suspicious in the area at the time they can call Detective Senior Constable Adam Ferguson at Casey CIU on 9705 3111.
