RANGEBANK Primary School students received some motivational words from a special guest recently.

Gary Connor from Wheelchair Sports Victoria spoke to the children as part of the values program at the Cranbourne school.

Principal Ron Skidmore said Mr Connor told the students that being bound to a wheelchair did not mean they could not aim high and that there were many opportunities available to them.

“He presented to the children a really colourful description of how you can achieve in life in a sporting sense.

“He really caught the attention of the older children, especially the boys,” Mr Skidmore said.

Senior students also enjoyed a game of wheelchair basketball.

Mr Skidmore said Mr Connor’s words of inspiration were exactly the sort of message promoted at the school.
